Theater, documentaries, shows for children and artistic performances in the various cultural centers of Lignano Sabbiadoro to raise awareness of social issues among spectators of all age groups, environmental and intercultural. Many guests and protagonists of this first edition, Aida Talliente and the artists of the Artistic Caravan, i Poets Trastolons, Leo Zannier and Federico Rossi, Lella Costa, Massimo De Bortoli, Stefano Montello and all the volunteers who will make everything possible and wonderful.
A festival organized by the Menti Libere cultural association, born in 2012 from the desire of a group of creative people from Lignano to make youth aggregation constructive. These twenty guys, aged between 16 and i 30 years, He thus began cleaning various parks in Lignano, trying to use art as a vehicle for greater environmental protection.
The project evolves and in 2015 the Association wins the regional tender for Active Citizenship thanks to which it can give substance and continuity to a series of events. Not only local young people but also young asylum seekers staying in the city are involved in these events. Very effective initiatives are born from the point of view of integration which give rise to the Lignano hospitality model which sees the involvement of guests in community activities and in some socially useful jobs.
Between the 2015 and the 2016 three boys from Lignano undertake the Balkan route backwards using art as the main means of communication and interaction. For the entire duration of the trip, three months and approximately 4000 km travelled, the three are accompanied by a thirty meter roll of paper on which everyone can express themselves freely.
This allows them to interact with the migrants they meet, giving the latter a chance for a sweet escape. Once the journey is over, this scroll represents an innovative model of narration of migratory flows, written in the first person by the protagonists of the migratory epic with a universal language.
With the intention of corroborating and sharing this and other experiences, the idea of organizing in Lignano was born, city that has always housed, the “MigrArt : Art as an encounter".
At the end of the event, some kids from the Association will leave for a short but intense tour in which they will take around the exhibition of the scroll and the live multimedia storytelling based on the stories of the latter. In fact, there will be five dates that will see the MigrArt project land in Palermo, Napoli, Rome and then moved for a few days to the earthquake areas with two dates in Visso and Camerino.
Brief discussion on the events of the review:
From the ideas of the backward journey that the three boys from Lignano undertook along the refugee route, a multimedia artistic show was created that tells the emotional sphere of each migratory epic through the music of Roberto Amadeo from Lignano, That, supported by Davide Mauro on sax, will accompany the digital video painting performed live by the Lignano artist Tommaso Sandri. The show premieres on 3 Marzo al Cinecity e verrà ulteriormente impreziosita dalle coreografie delle ballerine di “Zora Studio” di Latisana.

The exhibition will be open until 19 March: on weekends for the public while on weekdays for the schools that accept the invitation.

MigrArt @ Rome
And the scroll ends in Rome, where the flashes of humanity fight side by side to illuminate the great darkness of Italian hospitality.
Grazie ai volontari di Baobab Experience e a tutti i ragazzi che resistono nel limbo dell’incerta attesa.
MigrArt interview @ Radio Rai 1
Tommaso e Davide sono stati ospiti alla trasmissione “Obiettivo Friuli” of the 3 August 2016 on Radio Rai frequencies 1 FVG. Si parla del viaggio degli “scalzi in cammino” along the Balkan route and more.
MigrArt @ Lampedusa

Lampedusa first reception model, they say.
What I feel like saying is that the media always manage to mystify the most dramatic situations by exalting sides that are most often non-existent but mediatically captivating. It doesn't matter whether it's the doctor or the mayor.
What matters, no, is that there are hundreds of people locked up in a center who want nothing more than to be able to express their gratitude and their potential.
In the sea of indifference in which they swim, these guys can count on those light buoys that, albeit few, they never fail. They are those resistant volunteers who, away from the spotlight, never stop and keep the light alive.
So thanks to all these lights lit in an increasingly spreading darkness.
