Cleanin’March Festival 2025: Musica, Art and action for the environment

The Cleanin'march Festival returns with a calendar full of events that combine culture, art and ecological commitment. Three unmissable events will animate March 2025, organized by the Menti Libere Association and the Foce del Tagliamento Association, with the support of the FVG Region and the Municipality of Lignano Sabbiadoro.
We leave on 15 March at the Capitol in Pordenone with Airplane mode, an evening of electronic music and artistic visions dedicated to sustainability. Organized by’Foce del Tagliamento Association and by the Association Mind Free Together with his historical partners and supported by the FVG Region and the Municipality of Lignano, The Festival represents a fundamental point of reference for the promotion of a more conscious and responsible society towards environmental issues, in particular those related to climate change.

A festival that grows and transforms

Cleanin’March, event born in 2015 With the aim of promoting the cleaning of the beaches and sensitize the community on ecological issues, It is enriched for the edition 2025 of a series of cultural and scientific initiatives that, starting from the beaches of Lignano Sabbiadoro, they will extend to the whole region. The Festival sees its top event on 28 February 2025 with a lectio magistralis of Stefano Mancuso, one of the highest international experts in plant neuroscience, who will hold a conference at Cinecity of Lignano. Starting from the month of November 2024, The project saw an active involvement of the schools of Lignano and the neighboring municipalities, with an innovative didactic path, In collaboration with Legambinete and Kaleidoscience, who had the aim of raising awareness and forming the youngest on environmental critical issues, With particular attention to safeguarding the seaside ecosystem.

A rich and varied cultural offer

Cleanin’ March 2024: a great success!

Sunday 24 March, Lignano Sabbiadoro hosted the eighth edition of the Cleanin’ March, an event that has united beyond 90 people with a single goal: take care of our environment.

Among the participants, a special contribution came from the students of United World College of Duino, who shared the day with enthusiasm and commitment. Thanks to them and all the volunteers, more than were collected 100 bags of waste from the splendid dunes of Lignano.

The energy that was felt during the event was contagious: from the early hours of the morning until the end, every gesture made the difference, demonstrating that with a small collective effort great results can be achieved.

A heartfelt thank you goes to all those who participated, bringing not only their time but also their passion for a cleaner environment.

FLAT CALM – The festival “Calm calm. Thoughts to move the waters " it will instead start in April, to celebrate "National Sea Day". It will take place in Bibione, where the Menti Libere association will organize – collaboration with the WWF Marine Protected Area of ​​Trieste, ISPRA Venezia e Ca’ Foscari Venezia. The program is sponsored and financed by the Municipality of San Michele al Tagliamento with the contribution of Bibione Green&Smart and Lions Club Bibione and Lignano – a series of events dedicated to the sea and the defense of its ecosystem through the arts and scientific dissemination. «“Calma piatta. Thanksgiving Cleanin’ March

Three months have passed since the seventh edition of Cleanin’ March and the enthusiasm has not faded at all.

This video is a thank you to all the people who made this further step forward possible, another small, great participatory action to safeguard our territory. An initiative that saw the collection of around eighty bags by the sixty volunteers who flocked to the island of S.Andrea, in the Marano lagoon.

The summer season is in full swing but we are already preparing the autumn artistic initiatives, in October there will be the 4th edition of Migrart In Residence for which the open call will be released soon, and clearly the Cleanin March 8th edition of March 2024.

Cleanin’ March 2023: the ecological event that brought communities together, art and commitment to the environment on the island of Sant'Andrea in Marano Lagunare.

Sunday 26 March on the Island of Sant'Andrea in Marano Lagunare, Cleanin took place’ March 2023! This participatory event of cleaning and environmental protection, of awareness through aggregation and art has finally reached its seventh edition, after the interruptions due to the pandemic crisis.

Thanks to about 60 participants, About eighty bags were collected for an average weight of approximately 10 kg and they were served well 3 boats for transporting collected waste.

Compared to the other two editions, no bulky materials were found on the island (cylinders, pieces of boats, fishing lamps etc..). Mainly glass bottles were collected, plastic, a lot of polystyrene (even very small fragments), cans and residues of fishing nets and ropes.

On the island, after the collection phase, as per tradition the participants were able to enjoy, albeit in the short time left by the looming storm, of entertainment and aggregation activities thanks to the various partners involved in the initiative.

To enrich the scene, in fact, a flea market promoted by GAS (Solidarity purchasing group) of Lignano accompanied by the exhibition of gadgets produced by the Le Mani in Plastica project by Cas*Aupa, which through the use of some machinery creates products from recycled plastic. The land art installations by Sabrina Perissinotto and the mixed-race flags created by Girls Eat Banana act as a backdrop to the musical entertainment and metabolic walking activity, female reality that creates clothing products, but not only that, starting from used items.

Le occasioni di “contaminazioni” synergies were therefore the driving force of the experience, with cultural connections, cheap, environmental, faunal and aquatic.

Experience shows that it is therefore possible to speed up the processes of diffusion of a green culture and that the associative networks allow this input both within the components of the network and outside, with results greater than the mere sum of the parts.

Therefore we are waiting and preparing for the next Cleanin’ March of March 2024!
