On the occasion of National Sea Day (11 April 2024), the Menti libera association arrives in Bibione with a festival for the sea, where new aquatic thoughts emerge through arts and science.

A march-performance along the beach of Bibione, on the occasion of National Sea Day.
A community walk, led by the artist Laura Pugno, a collective gesture of care, to celebrate the sea together.
All are invited to attend!
Meeting in Bibione in Via Procione, at the beginning of the cycle-pedestrian path
The march will end at the Punta Tagliamento lighthouse, where the artist will install the work created during the residency. Alla camminata saranno presenti anche i partecipanti del workshop “Flags” organizzato da Menti Libere in collaborazione con il Brand di EcoFashion Design torinese GirlsEatBanana. The group will march with their flags dedicated to the sea and environmental sustainability.
A small refreshment will follow.
Laura Pugno (Trivero, 1975) lives and works in Turin.
His artistic research has landscape as its main field of investigation, intended not so much as a natural element, as the reproduction of a more or less extensive portion of reality, but as a social construction, as a metaphor through which to invite the viewer to better observe the context, the details.
The artist was invited to participate in the first Calma Piatta residency, which took place from 1st to 7 March in Bibione.
Menti libera was born in Lignano in 2012 as an association that intends to promote environmental respect and social inclusion through the universal language of art and its potential as a vehicle of communication, change and action.
With “Calm calm. Pensieri per smuovere le acque” il collettivo approda per la prima volta a Bibione, with the desire to start a shared path of regeneration of the bond between man and the sea, overcoming regional borders and uniting Lignano and Bibione in the construction of new environmental care behaviors. The sea we live in knows no boundaries.
