SUMMARY:MigrArt In Residence inauguration 2023 a Lignano Sabbiadoro
DESCRIPTION:MigrArt In Residence is the fourth Contemporary Art Residency program organized by the Associazione Menti Libere with the support of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region and in collaboration with the Municipality of Lignano and other bodies and associations of the regional territory and neighboring Slovenia. L’Associazione\, attiva da dieci anni nell’ambito della promozione sociale attraverso l’arte partecipata\, aims to create creative projects that deseasonalize the Adriatic town of Lignano. The residence was created to culturally stimulate and raise awareness of a seaside community that, outside the crowded summer season, lives under the banner of a bare creative and aggregative environment. The goal of the short residency that will take place from 2 al 7 ottobre a Lignano è si quello di stimolare una riflessione sulla realtà dicotomica lignanese ma anche quello di favorire l’incontro altresì difficile tra giovani artisti emergenti\, established artists on the national scene and the host territory. \nSaranno infatti Michele Bazzana\, Ryts Monet e Kristian Sturi i tre artisti friulani\, oramai consolidati a livello nazionale\, called to set up the collective exhibition with their works and to play the role of tutor for the six emerging artists under 30 selected after an open call. The selected artists of the edition 2023 saranno infatti Claudia Amatruda\, Valentina Bobbo\, Luigi Chiapolino\, Erica Londero\, Cosimo and the Austrian Simon Reitman who will work in the suggestive temporary atelier of Terrazza Mare. \nSotto l’occhio attento della curatrice Eva Comuzzi i tre artisti principali accompagneranno infatti i giovani artisti per la settimana di residenza nell’elaborazione di una riflessione sul singolare contesto in cui si trovano a lavorare\, that of a seaside resort in transit from summer lights to winter hibernation. During the days of residence foreseen in Lignano from 2 al 7 di ottobre\, the organization will take care of carrying out short guided tours in some emblematic spaces of the seaside resort in order to offer artists a wider landscape and socio-cultural overview. In parallelo dal 1° ottobre si svolgerà il secondo programma della residenza artistico-esplorativa a Pesariis\, in Carnia\, con l’artista Anouk Chambaz\, who will travel to Lignano for the final exhibition. La mostra finale sarà come al solito strutturata in un percorso comprendente vari spazi\, institutional ones such as the Terrazza Mare but also more informal ones with great symbolic value such as some venues which remain vacant in the extra seasonal months. \nIl 7 October at 18 it will be the moment of the inauguration in the presence of the curator and the artists. In March 2024 the summary catalog of all three past editions will also be published from 2021 to date.
