The concept that guides the development of this immersive sensorial installation could be placed between impressionism and surrealism. It was born from a relationship with deaf people and from the desire to share the sensations linked to their hearing, trying to build an interactive representation of an emotional-sensory experience free from specific cognitive references. Magritte wrote: “il mio unico desiderio è quello di sentire il silenzio del mondo” e questo “sentire” sta alla base del processo artistico proposto. This is a creative/artistic approach, un tentativo di rappresentare il frutto di una riflessione emotiva/estetica che non cerca di sperimentare ciò che “sente” un sordo ma bensì di comporre un racconto fatto di visione e di sensazione. In concrete terms, the installation will be a device capable of welcoming one spectator at a time and placing him in a condition of intimacy. The main element will be a vibrant surface on which the spectator can sit or lie down, near which a display will be positioned which will transmit texts. Thanks to relationship work and interviews with some deaf people, the artists will identify three specific emotional conditions, gathering feedback on the type of sensory sensation that particular situations, noises or sounds generate in deaf people. After that, these three emotional conditions will be reinterpreted and processed in order to be reproduced by the vibrating surface.

In the months of February and March 2023 an exhibition will be circulated in the municipalities of
Campoformido, Trieste, Nova Gorica (Sempas) and Lignano, in which to display the installation
artistic and the research process carried out.
The opening of each exhibition will correspond to a cultural awareness event
deaf, to offer a point of view on it in all its dimensions.

A project that investigates and talks about the theme of friendship, accompagnato dal romanzo “Le onde” di Virginia Woolf. Groups of friends of different ages will be involved in relational art actions and interviews. In the Lignano stage the artists will meet a group of teenage girls and boys in collaboration with Menti Libere and L.HUBpark Centro Giovani. La costruzione di un’ esperienza sonora, created by developing original music and sounds collected in the places crossed, will dialogue with fragments of the novel and its dramaturgical reworking.

Wundertruppe and Immobile Travelers | have been collaborating since 2022 to the Onde project. Miracle troupe, Italian artistic collective, creates artistic performances in headphones and audiowalks; Immobile Travelers, Canadian creation company, integrates different artistic languages ​​with particular attention to childhood and adolescence.
