In the 2016 the Free Minds Association, in collaboration with the Territorial Projects of the C.A.M.P.P., carried out the first participatory urban decoration intervention of the Latisana railway station.
Strengthened by the success of the project, che ha visto la realizzazione del murale ‘L’incanto’ sulla parete che dà sulla stazione dei bus, the two partners were able to continue the work thanks to the enthusiasm and support of the Municipality of Latisana which also allowed the involvement of the 3rd classes of the Middle Schools and the Youth Aggregation Center.
The creation was born from this collaboration, In the 2019, del murales “Binario Sommerso” nel sottopasso della Stazione dei treni. In the autumn of 2022 the collaboration was able to restart for the third edition of the Arte in Corso project, after the stop forced by the Corona Virus.
The project, curated by the guys from the Menti Libere Association in close collaboration with the partners, it was structured in two phases and saw the participation of around thirty young people.
The first part was divided into three meetings, suitable for triggering group dynamics and individual empowerment, which through artistic experimentation and brainstorming led to the shared identification of the sketch for the final mural.
The elements that emerged from these activities then highlighted how the fulcrum of the project was light and, consequentially, the colors. This is where the idea for the title came from : COLORVERSE. A universe of colors, images and maxims that try to indicate some uses, customs and thoughts that can help us orient our point of view within an increasingly liquid and difficult to read society. A mural with multiple ideas that it addresses, in a light but lucid way,
many salient aspects of today, from global warming to the use of social media
passing through respect for the environment around us.
