The New Wild
Wednesday 7 March at 21 the screening of the docufilm which has received considerable approval from critics and the public will take place at the CinemaCity in Lignano Sabbiadoro.
A film about surprising new landscapes emerging across Europe as rural populations age and slide down the valley. Where agricultural land remains uncultivated, a self-determined nature resettles: trees grow where once there were fields, and the wild ones roam free among the ruins. Far from the attraction of our economic centers, Marginalized regions are witnessing the beginning of a demographic and cultural collapse. Entire lifestyles become stories, stories become History and, as the city expands, memories begin to fade. However, something grows from the cracks of the ruin, and between the cracks of larger changes smaller stories intersect: from an abandoned Alpine valley a country offers us, in his precarious attempt to survive, a series of reflections on our changing relationship with the countryside and the entire natural world.
